Artist Statement
Oil painting has become the center for my creative outlet. Often I paint from my travel experiences using photos and sketches or I paint from one of my many scenic hikes in Marin County. In my paintings I strive to convey a certain sentiment using rich colors with thick oil paint for texture. The progression of my art work brings joy and gratification into my life. The beginning of each painting is a new and exciting journey for me, sometimes with surprising results.
